OKTOBERFEST 2024!
Our first Oktoberfest here at Frenchy’s, and we’re going all out! Nine events in 15 days, all showcasing incredible liquids from Central & Eastern Europe, as well as our first tap takeover with Berlin-trained Bobby Myers of Keepsake Brewery (Gastonia, NC). We’ll be bringing in classics actually poured at Oktoberfest in Munich as well as some of our very favorites from the region on the wine side. Oktoberfest will be an absolute highlight for Frenchy’s this year and for years to come.
Equinox Party
The fall equinox is a sacred day in the biodynamic farming calendar, a harbinger of harvest and a celebration of abundance and prosperity. Come join us as we celebrate some of our favorite biodynamic winemakers and settle, OFFICIALLY, into fall!
Wine & Cheese Pairing SEPT'24 (SOLD OUT)
In our second Wine & Cheese Pairing, we’ll be pairing four Central & Eastern European wines with cheeses as part of our extended celebration of Oktoberfest. This event sold out quickly last time, so buy your tickets early!
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT
Moktoberfest!
In our inaugural Moktoberfest, we celebrate all of the stellar non-alcoholic beverages we’re proud to offer here at Frenchy’s. Moktoberfest came to be from the desire to offer our own sober friends and family a purposeful event during our annual Oktoberfest celebrations. Join us as we offer a free tasting of three of our favorites from the No to Low Alcohol door (all less than 0.5% alcohol), skip the corkage on all our N/A offerings all day long, and pour an Oktoberfest draft special from our taps.
This event is free, but you can save a space and be entered into a raffle for a free ticket to Counterculture Festival 2025 in January by signing up here:

Madonna Riesling Tasting
Riesling gets a bad rap sometimes. You might know it best as the sweet wine your grandmother loves to love. However, Riesling is one of the most versatile grapes on the planet, and it is utterly delicious, especially when expressed in drier styles. At this free tasting, we’ll be showcasing one winemaker’s Rieslings across three different levels of residual sweetness. Madonna has been making Riesling since the 1400s — it’s safe to say they have it down, and this is an incredibly special opportunity to try a grape at the top of its game.
Tap Takeover! with Keepsake Brewing
Our first ever tap takeover here at Frenchy’s, and it just so happens to be with one of the most exciting brewers in the Charlotte area. Keepsake is a small family brewery in Gastonia, North Carolina. It is owned and run by Bobby Myers and Katherine Long. Bobby has a traditional education in brewing from VLB in Berlin, Germany. They produce exceptional beer-flavored beers, including a Helles, Pils, Black Lager, Pale Ale, and a few seasonals. We’ll be showcasing several of their beers, and Bobby will be onsite to answer all your questions!
Keep the Stein with Rothaus
What better way to kick off Oktoberfest this year than with a Keep the Stein event with our favorite German pilsner, Rothaus. Indeed, Rothaus is the only beer here at Frenchy’s with a permanent tap handle. As the only German export pilsner that comes unpasteurized, the liquid here retains aromas and flavors from the yeast and proteins that remain following fermentation. In other words, it tastes as good here as it does in Germany.
Come celebrate with us and this remarkable beer. We’ll be giving away steins to the first 50 folks through the door wanting a pint of Rothaus!
Wine Club Pickup Party
Attention Wine Club members! Our monthly pickup party is back, with an opportunity for you to try these three wines in a guided tasting so you can figure out for yourself what you want to do with them — Open tonight? Save for the fam? Holiday juice? Etc.
More details coming soon regarding the two-seating approach as our lil’ wine club grows here at Frenchy’s.
Live Music @ Frenchy's
Please join us for our first ever live musician at Frenchy’s!
Joseph Rincón has been honing his abilities on the guitar for over eighteen years and has performed extensively throughout the United States and in Spain. He earned his B.M. in Performance degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as receiving a formal recognition as “Outstanding Performer” by the faculty of the department of music. He also received two additional recognition and scholarships from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke for his exceptional skill in music performance.
We will be putting on a couple of Spanish BTG specials to pair with this dreamy evening.
Meet the Winemaker
Two Meet the Winemakers in a row, you say? Chalmers is a downright institution in the Land Down Under, and we are thrilled to showcase them here at Frenchy’s. More information to come soon, but save the date (and we’d be remiss not to mention this one is happening on a Wednesday and not our typical Thursdays).
MEET THE WINEMAKER
A very special takeover of our weekly tasting, with Michael McGeary, owner and winemaker of Euda Wine here in North Carolina. Michael is making some of our very favorite wines on the entire East Coast — come enjoy a fantastic free sampling and the chance to ask him any and every question you’ve ever had about his style of winemaking.
SKIP THE CORKAGE TUESDAY
All corkage fees waived, all day long. It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new.
Post-Pride Mimosa Bar
Join us the Sunday after Charlotte Pride for Prosecco, a juice-bar-of-many-colors, and tunes by our own DJ Mikey. Guaranteed good vibes and a chill way to close out a fun weekend.
Wine & Cheese Pairing (SOLD OUT)
Our first ever Wine & Cheese pairing ticketed event is coming up, and naturally, we’re leading with French wines and cheeses. Rachel from Orrman’s and Chris from Frenchy’s will be offering up four pairings during a guided tasting. One special round includes the very offering that made Rachel fall in love with cheese, paired with one of the bottles that started Chris down the path of French wines.
This event is sold out, but we plan to have a Wine & Cheese pairing event monthly!
Orange Wine & Oysters Fest
Frenchy's and The Waterman are back at it with an oysters popup on Saturday, August 10. This time around, the Frenchy's team will be pouring four special skin-contact/orange wines alongside these tasty treats. Orange wines are a beautiful partner to seafood, and we're excited to kick off our upcoming Pairing Series with this nautically-themed event.
Wine Tasting
It’s Frenchy’s Week for wine tasting, meaning we get to choose three of our favorites from the shelf! Up this week — three delicious, budget-friendly Pinot Noirs hailing from three wildly different geographies. From Oregon to France to Slovenia, you might just find a fall favorite ahead of time.
Beer Tasting
Three of our favorite international beers, all in one tasting. This will go down as one of the best tastings of the year.
Wine Tasting
Three amazing sparkling options on deck this week from Carboniste. This is a really special opportunity to try some of our very favorite bubbles side-by-side.
Beer Tasting
Come taste three different styles from our cooler — you just might find a new obsession. On deck this week are Amor Artis IPA, Cali Squeeze Blood Orange Wheat Ale, and the Hardywood Pils.
